I’m a terminally-online internet addict, to give you a better idea, here’s some key childhood memories of mine:
- My dad having a moral panic over videogames, so I basically only had Wii games and free flash games/animations from any of the following
- Ending my friendship with my best friend because I got the only Panda Webkinz at Walgreens
- Closing a pool in Habbo Hotel
- Having a digital boyfriend in Pirates of the Caribbean Online (which apparently has private servers now 🥳) who tried to groom me over Skype
- Speaking of which, actually decent free MMOs. I miss early TERA. Sorta related, anyone remember TV ads for MMO’s, i.e. Wizard 101?
- Actually purchasing WinRAR
Just standard 2000’s kids stuff ya’ know? Except purchasing WinRAR, I consider myself sick in the head for that. Probably justified my dad trying to get me thrown in a psych ward
